It's My Birthday!... Well, Yesterday

Father-Son Weekend in Seattle

We planned a trip to see friends in Seattle for the weekend before Beckam turned 2 (you know, while he could still fly for free), but Christine came down with a cold so the boy and I flew up without female supervision.

My public service announcement portion of the blog post is that it was super fun taking him up there for a fellas weekend. Not that I expected to accidentally drop him in Lake Union or anything, but being the sole parent on duty for a weekend that involved plane travel was slightly daunting and turned out to be a great time that I'm really glad we did together.

We stayed with John, Anna and their 2 year old (about a month older than Beckam) daughter Meya and below is the visual evidence of the lil' buggers time together.

I gave him some chocolate sauce to eat with his apple. He didn't eat so much of the apple but loved the sauce...

He looks scared but he really wasn't. He just wanted this part to be over with so he could go back to playing with the bubbles, his new favorite pastime.
