Hello, here comes some info about "inskolning". In Sweden when a child starts daycare you have two weeks of "inskolning". It means that one of the parents are with the child at the daycare. So for example the first day they are there one hour, next day two hours, third day four hours.... and after some days you leave the child alone for one hour and then pick her/him up. Next day the child is there for two hours alone and so on.... And after two weeks you can start leaving the child full-time. So that what was I had heard of so got very surprised when they told me to leave Meya fulltime from day one!
But I have to admit that Sweden might be a little bit TOO protective about this things because it wasn't really any problems to leave Meya. I even think it might have been worse if I would have stayed. At this age they get distracted so easily so just 5 min after I'm gone she's happy again. Then it's harder for me since I think it's very hard to be away from her. The good thing is that she's only there 3 times a week!
